Richard Curtis has written Mr. Bean, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Love Actually and some of the most popular romantic Hollywood comedies in a generation but he considers his main role to be his deadly serious commitment to eliminating poverty and inequality. The mastermind behind Comic Relief and Red Nose Day also founded Make Poverty History and he won’t be satisfied until he sees lasting change.
Through tragedy and trauma, the inimitable comedian, actress and writer Ellen DeGeneres has always found a way to beat adversity and inspire others through her talk show to live their best lives. Not only has the 2016 Presidential Medal of Freedom winner donated millions to help fight cancer and end bullying, Ellen launched the Small Change Campaign with Ben Affleck to alleviate hunger in the US.
